The truth is this:

Ireland will have an obligation to import beef under the EU-Mercosur trade deal otherwise known as the Mercs For Beef deal . The EU agreed on behalf of its members to import beef it doesn’t needs in return for Germany being allowed to sell its cars in Brazil , Argentina, Paraguay , and Uruguay. That explains why Ireland will be cutting beef production while the country is already importing beef.
The cattle cull will be hyped as being necessary to combat climate change which everybody knows is utter rubbish. It is about selling an Irish industry down the river as part of an EU trade off - nothing more. Greenpeace themselves were heavily critical of the EU-Mercosur deal.
What a coincidence though that , just as the Mercusor deal is moving into its ratification stage after more than 20 years negotiation - just at virtually that precise moment - Ireland suddenly realises that it needs to cull 200,000 cattle to save the planet.

WOW!!! Talk about coincidences! 🤨🤨🤨
